The IAD Foundation and Iowa Automobile Dealers Association have partnered with DMACC to sponsor the DMACC/IADA High School Automotive Skills Contest.
The two-part contest provides high school students interested in automotive technology a chance to compete against likeminded peers from across the state of Iowa. Students take a comprehensive ASE-style exam, and the top eight schools return with their best juniors or seniors for a hands-on competition. The winners receive prizes, including tools and equipment. The contest attracts hundreds of students annually, showcasing the appeal and opportunities in the industry.
The automotive skills contest is a great event, providing students with the opportunity to test their skills against others and to also learn about how great the profession of being an automotive technician can be! We appreciate the support of the association and foundation to help make the skills contest a success each year.
